Black History Month 2026
Black History Month is a sacred time of remembrance, reflection, and celebration. Originating from the vision of historian Dr. Carter G. Woodson, Black History Month was established to honor the rich history, resilience, and contributions of African Americans whose stories have too often gone untold. It serves as a powerful reminder that Black history is American history—and that the legacy of faith, perseverance, and excellence continues to shape our communities today.
Community Impact Award
In recognition of this legacy, our church proudly presents the Black History Month Community Impact Award. This award honors individuals and organizations who exemplify servant leadership and have made a meaningful, lasting impact through advocacy, service, education, and community empowerment. Rooted in our Christian faith, this recognition celebrates those who live out God’s call to love our neighbors, pursue justice, and uplift the marginalized.

Through this award, we not only acknowledge outstanding contributions of today’s changemakers, but we also affirm the importance of remembering our past, honoring our present, and inspiring future generations to walk boldly in purpose, faith, and service. As we celebrate Black History Month, we recommit ourselves to unity, equity, and continued community transformation—grounded in love and guided by God.
